S.T.A.R.S. continuity

Overdrive offered the H.I.S.S. tank along with various G.I. Joe vehicles and weaponry to members of S.T.A.R.S. for use in their battles against Cobra, oddly enough. Earthlings: THE S.T.A.R.S. need your help now!

your metal toys are NO match for me!

Some of the H.I.S.S. tanks at Silent Castle were equipped with a new type of rail gun designed by Sidney Biggles-Jones. When Megatron attacked the castle, Sidney Biggles-Jones fetched a tank and blew a hole through Megatron. Impressed with the rail gun's power, Megatron agreed to a deal with Cobra Commander that would get him a new body. Once Megatron was rebuilt, Cobra Commander provided him with three radio-controlled H.I.S.S. tanks to test the new body's abilities. Megatron destroyed them all in one fell swoop. Realignments

Cobra Commander apparently had brought a few H.I.S.S. tanks with him when he travelled to Milleville, as they were part of the convoy that would bring the Cybertronian technology acquired from Megatron to a safer location. Hot Spot destroyed them all long before they reached their destination. All or Nothing!

G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers

When Cobra unearthed a number of deactivated Transformers, they reprogrammed them and gave them new vehicle modes. Optimus Prime, Ironhide and Ratchet were modified into H.I.S.S. tanks and utilized during Cobra's first Transformer-aided act of terrorism. G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers #1 Cobra wasn't satisfied with the way Optimus Prime, H.I.S.S.-14, functioned and had Doctor Mindbender take a look at it. G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers #2 Thanks to Wheeljack and Bumblebee, the three and all other Transformers were freed from their servitude to Cobra not much later. G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers #4

Shockwave cut a deal with Destro and was given a new H.I.S.S. tank alternate mode, with his astroblaster integrated into it! [1]

With his accent, he fits right in with Cobra.
  • Shockwave H.I.S.S. Tank with two figures & Energon (July 12, 2012)
    • Accessories: Astroblaster, missile
An exclusive release for San Diego Comic-Con 2012, this is a redeco of the 2012 G.I. Joe: Retaliation H.I.S.S. tank in Shockwave's colours, including an adorable painted yellow "eye" on the nose of the cockpit. Shockwave's body can rotate independently from its chassis, which features sculpted faux treads with rolling wheels on the undersides. The body can also rock forward into an "elevated attack position". Shockwave is armed with two tilting Gatling cannons, one either side of his revolving tank turret; the turret features a spring launching missile, the same hole for which can also hold an included additional "Astroblaster" cannon piece designed to resemble the original Shockwave toy's gun barrel. Shockwave can seat a G.I. Joe figure in both the turret and his cockpit.
The set also includes the Cobras Destro and a "Constructicon B.A.T." with a trolley for carrying Energon cubes. Destro's many accessories include Soundwave in the form of a non-transforming tape deck, along with three "Mini-Con Deployers" – a.k.a. compatible micro-cassettes, that the toy's press release identifies as Laserbeak, Ravage, and Ratbat.

Missile batteries aren't usually this literal.
  • Scarlet vs Zartan & Autobot Powerglide vs Soundwave (2016)
  • Accessories: two rocket launchers with rockets, two missile launchers, four missiles, two nose guns
Exclusive to the Hasbro Toy Shop booth at San Diego Comic-Con 2016 and the Hasbro Toy Shop website, Soundwave is a recolor of a 2005 version of the Cobra H.I.S.S. tank vehicle done up in a traditional Soundwave motif. It features four firing missiles, rotating turret, an opening cockpit, and opening sides to fit figures inside. Exclusive to this release of the vehicle are non-firing rocket launchers that resemble G1 Soundwave's iconic battery-weapons.
The set also includes a redeco of an equally non-transforming Cobra Rattler colored as Powerglide and figures of G.I. Joe characters Scarlett and Zartan.

TWICE.
  • Megatron H.I.S.S. Tank and Baroness (2022)
    • Accessories: Baroness, fusion cannon, backpack
The tenth figure released in the Collaborative line, "Megatron H.I.S.S. Tank" transforms from the Cobra organisation's signature H.I.S.S. Tank into a roughly Commander Class-sized Megatron. He comes with his traditional fusion cannon accessory and has a twin turret backpack, whose guns can be lowered down to tilt over Megatron's head. Megatron's fusion cannon can detach from his arm to mount atop his H.I.S.S. form's turret platform.
The set also includes a figure of Baroness, who can ride Megatron's H.I.S.S. mode cockpit or man his turret guns via the tank hatch.
