I came across this shop by chance while walking around Kanda quite some time ago. I went to check it out because the exterior looked nice, and the reviews were not bad either, so I gave it a try. After a quick meal at "Mitsuya", I walked here. The restaurant is run by a talented female proprietress. The man sitting at the counter drinking was serving the food. He was pouring draft beer from the beer server and seemed to be more than just a regular customer (maybe he was the husband). There is a large plate on the counter. I like this style. The restaurant has its origins in Kagoshima, so they serve sweet potato on the rocks. I don't know the brand. The appetizer is uruy miso. Crunchy and sticky. Choose from stuffed peppers or macaroni salad from the large platter. The peppers and meat peeled right off, and the maca salla was left at room temperature, so the mayo was oily. For better or worse, it's cooked by a mother who loves to cook. It wasn't quite to my taste, but it was full of regulars and everyone was friendly. The mahjong tournament was broadcast on television and people discussed it. Once I get used to it here, I'm sure it'll be quite comfortable.
