"Tomura" is a quiet, yet dignified restaurant located in the back alleys of Toranomon. Once you enter through the noren curtain, which changes its appearance with each season, you will find a comforta
...ble space with a gentle Japanese atmosphere. The owner, Mr. Tomura Yoshio, is a skilled chef who has honed his skills for many years at well-known restaurants such as "Arashiyama Kitcho" and "Kyoto Aji". Mr. Tomura's philosophy is "never pandering to others, keeping the amount of processing to a minimum to make the most of the quality of the ingredients, and maximizing the original flavor of the ingredients." In summer, they serve salt-grilled golden sweetfish raised in the clear waters of the Akaishi River, which originates in the Shirakami Mountains, and in winter, they serve a hot pot of fat moon bears before hibernation. They compete with each dish created by their outstanding skills in accurately extracting the aroma and flavor hidden in the ingredients and their sincere attitude in pursuing a flavorful and clear broth. We would like you to enjoy our refined Kyoto cuisine, which does not require any unnecessary seasoning or coloring and has a sense of depth in its simplicity, with deep appreciation and love.
