I stopped by while I was making my rounds to give New Year's greetings. It was just after 11:30 on a weekday and there were already a few customers there, but I still felt I could go in so I decided to go for it. The store is efficiently run by three mothers, giving it a very homey, Osaka-like feel. There are two types of roux available at the shop: their signature King Rou and an onion-based roux. Today I ordered the spicy cutlet curry (King's Rou)! When you order, it comes with a salad, available only at lunchtime. I devour the salad while waiting for the curry. After waiting for about 10 minutes while eating the salad, the curry is brought to you. It's a fairly filling curry, and the spicy aroma of spices fills the air. When you take your first bite, you can definitely taste the spices, especially the cardamom, but it's not that spicy! The cutlet is crispy and seasoned with just the right amount of spices, making it very delicious and going to go well with rice! The portion was quite large, but I finished it in about 10 minutes! It's only open on weekdays so it's hard to get to, but it's definitely a place I'd like to visit again!
