It's within a 10-minute walk from JR Nakasho Station. This Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) is located in a corner of a large intersection, tucked away among a row of restaurants. There are few streetlights in this area, and the restaurants close early. By 10 o'clock, even the lonely, dim light of the lanterns stands out awfully. Inside the restaurant, you first take off your shoes, and then you can choose to sit at a table, a sunken kotatsu, or at the counter. All seats are smoking-only. They offer yakitori skewered on skewers, but the main course is Yakiniku (Grilled meat) served on a lava stone plate. The assortment is for two or more people, but they also provided single portions. As they serve it draft, the meat is very fresh, and I enjoyed the odorless, smooth texture and crunchy bite. They also serve it in a way that allows you to enjoy it little by little, with salt, sauce, yuzu pepper, etc. on the plate. The draft beer has a slight crab-like foam, but the price is under 500 yen, which is unheard of at similar Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) in Tokyo. It was a delicious Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) with a unique atmosphere.
