Located at the roadside station Hana no Sato Iijima, Miyoshi Restaurant is a restaurant where you can enjoy the flavors unique to Shinshu at reasonable prices, including the locally popular horse meat dishes and sauce katsudon.
A chef with many years of experience working in Tokyo hotels is currently working as the head chef in his hometown of Iijima, so in the evening, you can order a full course meal (for six people or more) that combines Japanese and Western cuisine (reservations required).
We are usually only open for lunch, so please make a reservation if you wish to have a party.
The most popular menu items are the Ajikoma rice bowl, which makes the most of the deliciousness of the local specialty miso, and the Umakadon, which uses horse steak meat. Many people buy smoked horse meat as a souvenir from Iijima-cho, and horse meat dishes are also famous. The lean horse meat is cooked to be very tender using the owner's special method, so it is popular with everyone from children to the elderly.
Other popular dishes include the Ina Valley specialty "Sauce Katsudon" and sets with mini soba or udon.

It is located next to the main entrance of the road station.
Freshly made piping hot takoyaki, cheese dogs, and bean-jam dogs are lined up. The takoyaki in particular contains seasonal local vegetables (asparagus, yam, cabbage, and green onions)! And of course, octopus! When you try the extra-large piping hot ones on the spot, your cheeks will fall off.
There is also a wide selection of cold desserts, including the hugely popular soft serve ice cream and gelato, which come in a huge variety that will have you wanting to eat several.
