This is the main store of Abe Kamabokoten (commonly known as Abekama), a long-established store that produces Sendai's specialty sasakamaboko.
It is located right in the center of Sendai.

Representative products include "Abe's Sasakamaboko" and "Abe's Sasakamaboko Ginsen Sasa," as well as steamed kamaboko "Cheese Ball," smoked sasa kamaboko "Smoke-n," and deep-fried kamaboko "Nakoron."

There are long lines for the freshly fried "Hyotan Age" (deep-fried gourd). (※Available while supplies last)

You can also try your hand at baking sasakama (no prior reservation required)
