Remarks |
This page is for Wakuden, takeaway Bento (boxed lunch) shop in the basement. |
I bought some sweets at takeaway store of Kyoto's traditional restaurant Wakuden. The sweets are made from lotus root and wasanbon, and are wrapped in beautiful bamboo leaves. When I peeled off the two large bamboo leaves, I found something like black kuzumochi. I wondered if it was a lotus root sweet, but when I tried it, it had a fluffy texture and the refined taste of wasanbon. I was surprised at how it turned out to have such a texture. I ate it cold and it was delicious. They also have a nice selection of Bento (boxed lunch), so I'd like to buy something again.
