This is a travel romance that came to Fukui on a trip that stopped at various stations in the winter of 2023. A 2-night, 3-day trip from Osaka using JR conventional lines. It's my first night in Fukui in a year. I made a reservation by phone in advance and went to Kappo Makai, located in a back alley in Fukui's downtown Katamachi. A signboard placed on an indigo-dyed curtain reads ``Full House''. The interior of the store is deep. There seems to be a second floor as well. A general with a big voice greeted us. I will sit at the counter seat, which has 5 seats. Menus are posted on the counter and in the back. ⑩ and ⑮ apparently mean 1000 yen or 1500 yen. There is a TV at the counter, and the atmosphere is more like Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) than a kappo restaurant. [b:◇ Appetizer walnut tofu...400 yen (tax included)] [b:◇ Mikuni Port Seiko crab (seikogashi)...2500 yen (tax included)] [b:◇ Assorted sashimi...2500 yen (tax included) ] [b:◇ Kamisho Taro Imo-ni Korogashi... 700 yen (tax included)] [b:◆ Asahi Super Dry Medium Bottle... 800 yen (tax included)] [b:◆ Ippongi Dry Classic Hot Sake... 800 yen ( (Tax included)] [b:◆ Bonmai Junmai 55 polish 50% cold sake... 1000 yen (tax included)] [b:◆ Sari Nama sake chilled... 1200 yen (tax included)] First up is the bottled beer. Ordered the sashimi platter. For bottled beer, I use Asahi Super Dry. At 800 yen for a medium bottle, it's quite a strong price. I wonder if it's Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) price rather than an izakaya price. It came out with the appetizer. The appetizer is walnut tofu. It is topped with miso sauce. It must be handmade, it has a walnut texture. Next, the female snow crab, Seiko crab, which is in season, which I requested when I made the reservation, appeared. It has a yellow tag for Mikuni Port. It's not about the figure, it's about the way it's presented and put together. My parents ate crab in Tottori last month, so this is my fourth bowl of seiko crab this season (lol) I guess I'm eating too much. Serving hot sake with this is the true essence of being a sake drinker. First, I'd like a hot glass of Katsuyama's sake, Ippongi. A dry classic, served in a tin choshi. Ippon Yoshikubo main store was founded in 1901. Inheriting the official sake name of the Katsuyama Ogasawara clan, ``Ippongi,'' the motto is ``pursuing the beauty of flavor that can be described as pure.'' I like the sharp, dry taste. The sashimi platter is ready. Six types of platter: shellfish, goldfish, mackerel straw-grilled, bluefin tuna, horse mackerel, and sweet shrimp. The golden eye seems to be a fish called Chikame Kintoki. The shellfish is huge. It's about the size of a turban shell. The next sake is Sabae no Bon. I'll go with cold sake. Junmai 55 polished 50%, commonly known as Junmai Gogo. The fusion of Yamada Nishiki from Hyogo Prefecture and Gohyakumangoku from Fukui makes this a very delicious sake with a sharp and full flavor. As expected, it is a popular brand both domestically and internationally. The price is relatively reasonable and this taste is recommended. I will have boiled Kamisho taro. It is a native species of Echizen Ono, and is characterized by its chewy texture and not easily falling apart. I received it, but it was cold. Lastly, we have Sari from Mori Sake Brewery in Fukui City. This is my first time drinking alcohol. ``Sari'' means rice in Sanskrit. This sake was created to create a sake that goes well with seafood. What I received was a cold Junmai Ginjo sake made with slag. Four stages of water preparation with a little water added before squeezing. It is a yellowish liquor that resembles the hazy moon of spring, which is still far away. It was my first time drinking it, and it was delicious too. I was told that I would not receive a detailed receipt, so I asked to see a receipt for my blog. The food prices are average, but I feel that the drink prices are a little high. It's nice to be able to drink Kokuryu's premium sake Nizaemon and Ishidaya with the sake comparison set. For those who want a reasonable meal, there is also an all-you-can-drink option for 2 hours for 2,000 yen. Thank you very much for the second generation. This is Gochisousan.
