Install purchases from the App Store on Mac
There are several ways to install and reinstall apps that you purchased with your Apple ID.
Note: In the App Store, all of your purchases are tied to your Apple ID and can’t be transferred to another Apple ID. If you make purchases on your iPhone, iPad or another Mac, always sign in using the same Apple ID so you can see all of your store purchases on this Mac and download any available updates.
Install apps that you purchased on a different device
You can install any app that you purchased with your Apple ID on another device.
In the App Store on your Mac, click your name in the bottom-left corner or click Sign In if you’re not already.
Locate the purchased app you want to download, then click the Download button .
Tip: Hold the pointer over an active download’s progress indicator to show the download speed and progress.
Automatically download apps that you purchased on a different device
In the App Store on your Mac, click your name in the bottom-left corner or click Sign In if you’re not already.
Choose App Store > Settings, then select “Automatically download apps purchased on other devices”.
Reinstall apps
If you uninstalled or deleted an app that you purchased with your Apple ID, you can install it again.
In the App Store on your Mac, click your name in the bottom-left corner or click Sign In if you’re not already.
Locate the purchased app you want to reinstall, then click the Download button .
