Move iMovie Theater content to iCloud Photos
Save your films and trailers to iCloud Photos to watch them on other devices, including Apple TV.
iMovie no longer supports sharing to iMovie Theater and the iMovie Theater app for Apple TV is no longer available. To watch your iMovie Theater content on all your devices, including Apple TV, move your videos to iCloud Photos. Make sure to turn iCloud Photos on before continuing.

Move videos to iCloud Photos on iPhone or iPad
In iMovie on your iPhone or iPad, first download your videos to your device, then add them to iCloud Photos.
In iMovie, navigate to the Projects view.
Tap Theater at the top of the screen. If you don't see Theater at the top of the screen, tap the
, then tap View iMovie Theater.Tap a video to select it. If the
appears, tap the to download the video to your device.Tap the
, tap Save Video, then tap OK when it's saved.Repeat for every video you want to copy to iCloud Photos.
Move videos to iCloud Photos on Mac
In iMovie, choose Window > Go to Theater.
Click a video to select it, then click the
, then choose File.Click the Resolution pop-up menu and choose the highest resolution available. Set the other share options, then click Next.
Choose a location on your Mac to save the video, like the Desktop, then click Save.
Open Photos.
Find the saved video file on your Mac, then drag it into Photos.
Repeat for every video you want to copy to iCloud Photos.
If you don't use iCloud Photos
If you don't use iCloud Photos, save the videos as files as described above, then move them to your Photos library. You can also copy the video files to a folder on your Mac, to an external drive, or to third-party cloud storage locations like Box. To watch your videos on your Apple TV, you can AirPlay from iPhone, iPad or Mac.
