Gordana Stevanović (grad Banjaluka, 16. septembar 1947), patolog, profesor i dopisni član izvan radnog sastava Akademije nauke i umjetnosti Republike Srpske.[1]

Biografija

Rođena je u Banjaluci u Republici Srpskoj, Bosna i Hercegovina. Osnovnu školu i gimnaziju je završila u rodnom gradu. Na Medicinskom fakultetu u Beogradu diplomirala je 1972. godine, gdje je specijalizovala patološku anatomiju (1974–1978).[1]

Kliničku patologiju specijalizovala je na Univerzitetu Južne Kalifornije u Los Anđelesu (1989–1993). Na Medicinskom fakultetu u Beogradu odbranila je 1982. godine doktorsku disertaciju Patomorfološka i imunohistohemijska analiza neHočkinovih limfoma na bazi Lukes-Collins-ove klasifikacije, za koju je dobila nagradu „Sergije Saltikov”, namijenjenu mladim naučnicima.[1]

Usavršavala se u oblasti imunologije na Univerzitetu u Daramu, Sjeverna Karolina (1983), u oblasti hematopatologije na Univerzitetu Južne Kalifornije, u Los Anđelesu (1979–1980), u oblasti hematopatologije i citohemije na Univerzitetu u Luizvilu (1980–1981) i u oblasti transfuziologije na Univerzitetu Južne Kalifornije, u Los Anđelesu (1993).[1]

Docent za predmet Patološka anatomija na Medicinskom fakultetu u Beogradu bila je 1979, a vanredni profesor 1989. godine. Za vanrednog profesora za predmet Patologija na Medicinskom fakultetu Univerziteta Kalifornije (UCLA) u Los Anđelesu izabrana je 1994. godine.[1]

Sada je šef Dermatopatološke službe u Medicinskom centru Cedars-Sinai, u Los Angelesu. Publikovala je veliki broj naučnih radova u časopisima na engleskom jeziku iz oblasti opšte patologije, uključujući obdukcijsku patologiju, hematopatologiju, imunohistohemiju, onkologiju i sudsku medicinu. Uključena je u projekte za patologiju i istoriju medicine SANU. Njena studija o korelaciji kliničkih i obdukcijskih nalaza, prva analiza ovog tipa u Srbiji, publikovana je 1985. godine u američkom časopisu „Human Pathology” i citirana u svjetskoj medicinskoj literaturi. Izvršila je prvu obdukciju bolesnika sa AIDS-om u Srbiji. Među prvima u svjetskoj literaturi oglasila se 1987. godine o nalazu streptokoknog miokarditisa kod bolesnika sa AIDS-om.

Publikovala je sa saradnicima Studiju o novom monoklonom antitijelu (T29/33) 1987. godine. U časopisu Dermatopathology: „Practical and Conceptual” 2003. godine objavila je analizu vaskulitida, sa osvrtom na slične studije od prvih publikovanih slučajeva i klasifikacija u svjetskoj literaturi do danas.[1]

Član je SLD (Srpskog lekarskog društva), Udruženja patologa SCG (Srbije i Crne Gore), Evropskog udruženja patologa, Internacionalne, Američke i Kanadske akademije patologa, Koledža američkih patologa, Američkog udruženja kliničkih patologa, Kalifornijskog udruženja patologa i Udruženja patologa Los Anđelesa.[2]

Postala je dopisni član izvan radnog sastava Akademije nauke i umjetnosti Republike Srpske 5. septembra 2008. godine.[1]
