• Type: J. Hillebrand s.n. (lectotype, designated by Oliver 1935: 164; isolectotype: BISH-BISH1015085).
• Type locality: United States of America. Hawai‘i: Maui, East Maui, Haleakalā, 3000–6000 ft.
