Dev-C++ version 4.9.9.2 Window XP Professional Is in this version of Dev-C++ a option to perform only pre-compilation of a ..c file? If yes, could you please, tell me how to perform this option? Nothing wrong with the source, except that you have used some very starnge characters for indentation. White space may only be space, tab, horizontal tap, carriage return and line feed. If you open the source in the really stupid program edit, the strange characters will be clearly visible. /Per W On Thu, 19 Oct 2006 k.a...@at... wrote: > Can someone please help me. That is one of the reasons why you may download the Dev-C++ environment without the compiler - you might already have a different version of MinGW. The only disadvantage of using a different version of gcc, is that you can't use any precompiled c++ libraries. The compiler regularly changes name mangling, and internal memory layout of generated c++ code. Since I normally retrieve source and build the needed C++ libraries myself, this isn't too much of a problem. /Per W On Wed, 18 Oct 2006, Hossein Haeri wrote: > Dear all, > > OK, with the aids of some of you, I realised that this list is still alive. C++ compilers don't support word documents. Also, not too many people like to open word documents from unknown sources because of the problems with word macro viruses. Further - that was only a small part of an application. It emits some text but there are no game logic, and no repeat loop to allow the user to play again. That code is expected to just print some text and then end. /Per W On Mon, 16 Oct 2006 k.a...@at... wrote: > Attached is the source codes. > > it seems when I program small programs they work find this is a large one and I can't seem to understand what is wrong with it. > -- > 14 Meadowview Drive > Annandale, New Jersey 08801 > 908 735 6640 > k.a...@wo... > > > > -------------- Original message from k.a...@at...: -------------- > > > I need help. When asking for help - always attach the code you have problems with. Right now, we don't even know if you program in C or in C++, and if you with "floating" means the data type "float" or just floating point numbers. The arrays are too large to allocate as auto, i.e. on the stack. I'm sorry, but I don't know how to create nearly 5 arrays. The code below will manage to create exactly 5 arrays: // float allocation in C: #include <stdlib.h> #include <stdio.h> enum { ARRAY_SIZE = 50000, }; int main() { float* array1 = (float*)malloc(ARRAY_SIZE*sizeof(*array1)); float* array2 = (float*)malloc(ARRAY_SIZE*sizeof(*array1)); float* array3 = (float*)malloc(ARRAY_SIZE*sizeof(*array1)); float* array4 = (float*)malloc(ARRAY_SIZE*sizeof(*array1)); float* array5 = (float*)malloc(ARRAY_SIZE*sizeof(*array1)); printf("Everything allocated\n"); return 0; } // double allocation in C++: #include <iostream> int main() { const int array_size = 50000; double *array1 = new double[array_size]; double *array2 = new double[array_size]; double *array3 = new double[array_size]; double *array4 = new double[array_size]; double *array5 = new double[array_size]; std::cout << "Everything allocated" << std::endl; } /Per W On Fri, 13 Oct 2006 gy...@cc... wrote: > > Hello All, > > Please help me with a trivial problemos. > > I want to create nearly 5 floating array of 60,000 each . Hello All, Please help me with a trivial problemos. I want to create nearly 5 floating array of 60,000 each . When I run the program it gives error which I always do "Dont Send" to Microsoft. Please help me allocating these arrays without crashing the system as such even Dev C++. Nothing wrong with the line: system("pause"); You just forgot the line: #include <stdlib.h> from the example you got. /Per W On Fri, 13 Oct 2006, subhankar chakraborty wrote: > Hi > thanks for the many responses to my question.
