Some methods in your class don't seem to be defined. Check in the source of your library libmustik.so if the missing symbole are defined. If they are, have a look in the library itself using the tool nm. Maybe you just forgot one module in compiling you library :) On Mon, Dec 16, 2002 at 08:10:31PM +0100, tc...@gm... wrote: > Sebastien Morand wrote: > > >Can you give the error messages you get? Hi all,
I am trying to execute a c++ code that sends queries to a prolog engine back and forth. I got the following linker error when i tried to compile the code:
C:\DOCUME~1\NARAYA~1.CAM\LOCALS~1\Temp\ccqubaaa.o: In function `_7PlTermvG6PlTermT1':
//C/PROGRA~1/pl/include/SWI-cpp.h(.text$__as__6PlTermPCc+0x16): undefined reference to `PL_unify_atom_chars'
//C/PROGRA~1/pl/include/SWI-cpp.h(.text$__7PlTermvi+0x13): undefined reference to `PL_new_term_refs'
//C/PROGRA~1/pl/include/SWI-cpp.h(.text$__7PlFrame+0xb): undefined reference to `PL_open_foreign_frame'
//C/PROGRA~1/pl/include/SWI-cpp.h(.text$_$_7PlFrame+0x15): undefined reference to `PL_close_foreign_frame'
//C/PROGRA~1/pl/include/SWI-cpp.h(.text$__7PlQueryPCcRC7PlTermv+0x20): undefined reference to `PL_predicate'
...
...
...
My code is as follows:
#include <SWI-Prolog.h>
#include <SWI-cpp.h>
#include <string>
#include <iostream.h>
void loadit(){
PlFrame fr;
PlTermv av(1);
av[0] = "test.pl";
PlQuery q("consult", av);
q.next_solution();
}
void start(){
PlFrame fr;
PlTermv av(1);
av[0] = "Narayan";
PlQuery q("receive", av);
q.next_solution();
}
int main( int argc, char *argv[] )
{
PlEngine e(argv[0]);
loadit();
start();
cerr << "Prolog initialized" << endl;
return 0;
}
It throws unreferenced errors to all the prolog terms that I have used in the program.
I have set the compiler options in the following way:
C++ incluce directories: <default>, include directory containing prolog header files
Library files: <default>, library containg prolog dll files.
Could anybody advice me on what I am missing here:
Thanks,
Narayan.

hello, I will like to learn GTK but I know only C++ and not C. I will like to know if wGlade generated or can be made to generate C++ code. How can I set GTK to use C++ on Dev-C++? I opened a project that I had written with Visual C++ 6.0 which had no compiler errors in VC6, but in DevC++ there were about 24 compiler errors. The source code is written in C and not C++ but I selected the Compiler options to support ANSI C. Anyone have an idea as to what is going on here? |

nope; that didn't work (and I was using conio.c, just copied the wrong
code) and now I am getting the message:
Access violation at address 004DB932 in modlue 'DevCpp.exe' Read of
address 00E18D79.
I should mention that I am TRYING to run this on a restricted college =
system
and am trying to find all the errors I possibly can...

Hi, I've worked for a long time with the object windows library (OWL) from Borland. These libraries are classes that uses de win32 API funtions. If I want to make windows programs with DevCpp I must learn the win32 functions too !!! I don't want to do this again !!! Anybody knows if there is possible to run the borland owl in devcpp ? Occasionally I get the following errors when I bring up a previously =
written
program in Dev C++. Can someone tell me why?
C:\DOCUME~1\aimees\LOCALS~1\Temp\cco1aaaa.o(.text+0x438):image.cpp:
undefined reference to `cout'
C:\DOCUME~1\aimees\LOCALS~1\Temp\cco1aaaa.o(.text+0x43d):image.cpp:
undefined reference to `ostream::operator<<(char const *)'
the source code is
#include <iostream.h>
#include <stdlib.h>
#include <conio.c>
int main()
{
clrscr();
cout<<"\n
\t_________________________________________________________________ =
\n";
cout<<"
_________________________________________________________________ ";
cout<<"\t=DD\t\t=DD =DD\t\t=DD =DD\t\t=DD =DD\t\t=DD\n";
cout<<"\t=DD\t\t=DD =DD\t\t=DD =DD\t\t=DD =DD\t\t=DD\n";
cout<<"\t=DD\t\t----\t\t----\t\t----\t\t=DD\n";
getch();
return 0;
}
Right -- so it's a simple thing to teach students how to draw on the =
screen
using just symbols.... ignoring the whole stupid program thing.... why =
do I
get the above mentioned errors??

Thats true, but there are exceptions like the Lame encoder. However=20
decoding mp3 can=B4t be free. Anyway Og vorbis is less suported in some=20
aplications like cd mastering tools and portable mp3 players. Ogg is the=20

Your compiler is looking in the vc98 folde for mystring.h You've probably written #include <mystring.h> - change to #include "mystring.h" That will fix it (assuming you've written mystring.h !!!) >From: Roc...@ao... >To: dev...@li... >Subject: [Dev-C++] String? >Date: Mon, 16 Dec 2002 08:31:22 EST > >Can anyone please tell me what is wrong, and how to get it solved please!:) > >It says this: > >c:\program files\microsoft visual studio\vc98\include\mystring.h(4) : fatal >error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'string': No such file or directory > >THANKS!!:) > >Kevin _________________________________________________________________ The new MSN 8: advanced junk mail protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail |

reimp, you can get it at some page of Mumit Khan, search it. It is either in mingwutils (www.mingw.org). However it is said in http://jrfonseca.dyndns.org/projects/gnu-win32/software/reimp/index.html that reimp is for import libraries for dlls. For dll imports too is pexports at http://www.acc.umu.se/%7Eanorland/gnu-win32/index.html,. However there are some different thoughts there, I heard you can use the lib and you cannot. I think it depends on which compiler generated the lib. If it is MSVC you don't need it except for import libraries for dlls 8some kind of keywords MSVC uses which are not used in mingw), but the normal static libraries can be used adding to the linker commands the complete name of the library with extension and without -l prefix, or you can simply rename the lib and use it as usual: MSVC and mingw use COFF format for libraries. In the other hand if you created them with Borland then you'll need a converter, since Borland uses OMF format. But I don't know about any tool for this conversion. first last wrote: > Are there any tools to convert *.lib files to* .a files > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Do you Yahoo!? > Yahoo! Hello Fernando! I have never used ogg vorbis myself, just heard of it, so I looked around on www.vorbis.com. This is, what I recommend: Download Ogg Vorbis Win32 SDK (if you are working under Windows) from www.vorbis.com Here is a direct link: http://www.vorbis.com/files/1.0/windows/OggVorbis-win32sdk-1.0.zip It has everything you might need for encoding/decoding/tagging. Includes, libraries, and even DLLs (if you prefer using DLLs). A great benefit of ogg files, is that they can have any number of tags. Each tag has the TAG_NAME=tag_value format in the file, but the SDK provides an easy to use interface for setting and loading tags. The SDK has a brief documentation and example C sources, well documented. I hope that helps. As I stated in my previous mail, mp3 is NOT FREE. I don't know much about it's license, but I guess (theoretically) you (would) need to pay for encoding wav files to mp3. Ogg vorbis instead is FREE. Even great games today all use ogg for music, because it's free, it is small, and it sounds very good. UT2003, Serious Sam uses ogg for music, just to mention a few... -- Best regards: Balázs |
