Perhaps if you archived it (RAR, ZIP or whatever tickles your fancy) and uploaded it to a decent server? e.g. www.stas.net cheers Ian P.S. - Sorry for the laggy reply On 5 Oct 00, at 16:21, SpiderMan wrote: > Re: Ian: > So do you want me to just send you the dialog editor? Do you know if it's possible to upload files to the mailing list? If I can I can just upload a couple of the tools and then anyone who wants them can get them from here. |

I am new to C++ but not to Windows. I am having problems when I try to save the C++ source file to a different directory than the one that it came from in DevC++ under Windows 95. DevC++ gives me the little window that says that the particular file already exists and it points to the folder that the file came from, not the one that I am trying to save to. I did change the default directory in the Options, Environment Options, Default Directory dialog to the folder that I am trying to save to. Is it just my computer or a problem with the program? Hello all, Is there a way to retrieve the window handle (hwnd) of a GTK window? There's an external variable something like gtk_root_hwnd which might be related to this, but I just thought to ask if someone knows. I need the handle to perform some operations with Win32 api. Of course it isn't portable but Win32 api routines are neither ;-) Thanks! -Vesa |

I am new to the list and I am also trying to find a C++ wrapper for = DirectX that works with DevC++ and the only thing you'll have to do to = use it is include header files and use ready commands... E.g. =20 include <DXWRAP_draw.h> // all drawing you can think of... include <DXWRAP_sound.h> // midi, wav, stream etc... include <DXWRAP_input.h> // mouse, joystick, keyboard... include <DXWRAP_3d.h> // 3D commands ( when I say commands I mean = routines that wrap DirectX ) ... set_video_mode ( 320, 240, 8 ); IMAGE *img =3D new IMAGE ( 320, 240, VIDEO ); set_screen ( img ); circle ( img, rnd(90), rnd(120), get_color = (255,255,0) ); ... // Animation class can be created using the wraper ANIMATION *anm =3D new ANIMATION ( 12 ); ANIMATION.frame[0] =3D load_image ( "heroWalk0.pcx", SYSTEM ); ANIMATION.frame[1] =3D load_image ( "heroWalk1.pcx", SYSTEM ); ... draw_surface ( IMAGE *srf, IMAGE *img, int x, int y, double angle, = double scl_w, double scl_h, FLIP_TYPE flip, unsigned char transparency = ); ... No, I don't want the wraper to support sprites and stuff (e.g. animation = class and sprite class). I want the foundamental classes & commands that = wrap DirectX - e.g. an IMAGE class or a SURFACE class better with all = sorts of DIRECTX drawing commands. A SAMPLE class or WAVE class or SOUND = class. TIMER classes, DRAWING commands ( drawing primitives, ddsurfaces = with full manipulation capabilities like the draw_surface example I've = set above ), PALETTE classes, commands, DINPUT commands and class ( = joystick class e.g. INPUTER joystick =3D GET_JOYSTICK[1]; if ( = joystick.button[x] || joystick.angle =3D=3D 1.57 ) { ... } etc... I = think you get the point of what I really seek. Thanks in advance for any help - I hope there is such a simple wraper - = I ahte the ones that use *.lib etc... |

Hi This one is no problem. Basically, you need to install the GTK toolkit package, available from the Dev-C++ packages page (the link can be found @ www.bloodshed.net/dev) After that it should be no problem :) cheers Ian On 5 Oct 00, at 14:13, Fabien VIVES wrote: > Hello. > Ihave DevC++ full package. > When I do: " New Project", " GUI TOOLKIT", "GTK+". > I have the template, but it includes two headers I don't have in my DevC++ > folder: > gtk.h and glib.h > > The Gtk.h should be in the GTK folder, but I don't have it neither. > Can someone tell me what it is exactly, and where I could find it ? > Thanks. > > VIVES Fabien > fv...@fr... > http://fvives.free.fr > ( Ti92, Fargo, ASM 68K...). > > _______________________________________________ > Dev-cpp-users mailing list > Dev...@li... > http://lists.sourceforge.net/mailman/listinfo/dev-cpp-users |

ok, I want to integrate a simple way to build a static library into Dev-C++... I am comfortable with using GNU ar, and all that. Is there a way I can get a script of something or template that will help me when making static libraries? Pointers to good docs on the subject would also help. Thanks, Darel |

It's not different. GCC is THE standard C/C++ compiler for several places. It has been used in numerous free and commercial projects. Is the sleep() function defined in the standard library? If so, that may be where the "problem" lies. I have noticed several changes over the past few months to libstdc++, which is supposed to be the implementation of the standard C++ library.
