Hi, I'm doing my first baby steps (coming from a Linux environment) using Bloodshed IDE (beta 8), compiling some programs from the "theForge" tutorial. I have made the mistake to save the .c, .h and .rc files in a directory path containing spaces. Now when compiling the resource file, make stops with "No rule to make target: Einstellungen/blabla/somewhere/resource.rc" which is no wonder, the file is under C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen \somewhere..." (which is the standard location where your home directory ("Personal Files?") is in German WinNT/2k/XP versions) So, apparently the auto-generated Makefile copes with spaces for the .c and .h files, but not for the .rc files. I have had no time to check the source for the cause yet, though. Adding in some backslashes before the spaces does results in the same error message, though - weird. The Makefile.win generated is attached. Yours -Malte #8-) PS: thanks for providing a free software environment to compile stuff for Win32 with! PPS: Please Cc: me if possible |

Alvin Thompson wrote: > i think it's a greek letter, pronounced 'moo'. anyone with knowledge ou= t=20 > there on this care to chip in? Correct, the latin alphabet doesn't contain that letter. The latin=20 alphabet is actually what we are writing here right now (more or less) :) About pronunciation, we in Hungary pronounce it "m=FB", that's like=20 pronouncing "t=FCr" in german, just using "m" instead of "t" and without=20 "r" at the end. And as a last note (to add something for the subject), the list header=20 should really be fixed :) -- Greetings, Bal=E1zs |

I have seen this at one chat. As I know 'µ' is been read in latin as 'mee'. But it may not be true because my native language is not English but Czech. Czech sounds a bit like Russian but without that terrible accent, and a bit like Polish, if you don't know :-))) But somebody really could do something with these headers. --- Jan Ringos, Tr...@mx... http://tringi.mx-3.cz > wouldn't that be 'mu, too?' > > -alvin > > > Jan Ringos wrote: > > Some ultra funny people uses: µ2 for "me too" :-))) > > > > > >>Yes - "me too" > >> > >> > >>>What do these mean? Have a look at the wxWidgets - formerly known as wxWindows - toolkit. http://www.wxwidgets.org/ wxWidgets contains a lot of nice classes to encapsulate the Windows API. There are a lot of examples available. /Per W On Mon, 29 Mar 2004, marcusv wrote: > Hi there guys. > > I hope I'm posting to the correct list. > All my apologies if it's not the correct list. > > I just managed to download Dev-C++,[bloodshed] now I need to no if this > can do the following. > > I need to create a user interface / app window. > In this window there should be certain function like, Add/Search/Edit/ > Etc.... > When a users ADDS it brings up a text field and a Add button. > When the user clicks on the ADD button, the data should be added to a > specified centralized Database somewhere on a Network PC can this be > done, > And where do I find a [how-to] to do something link this. > > Database that I would like to use would be MySQL. > > Any /Help/Pointers/Advice Would be greatly appreciated. > > Regards > Marcus Van Wyk > > > |

Hi there guys. I hope I'm posting to the correct list. All my apologies if it's not the correct list. I just managed to download Dev-C++,[bloodshed] now I need to no if this can do the following. I need to create a user interface / app window. In this window there should be certain function like, Add/Search/Edit/ Etc.... When a users ADDS it brings up a text field and a Add button. When the user clicks on the ADD button, the data should be added to a specified centralized Database somewhere on a Network PC can this be done, And where do I find a [how-to] to do something link this. Database that I would like to use would be MySQL. Any /Help/Pointers/Advice Would be greatly appreciated. Regards Marcus Van Wyk |

Oh I see what you mean, now I got that to work. Thanks. |

I hope the reply is readable, since I'm getting HTML tags. I guess I was expecting something like an Imakefile, or a file to edit and add what I wanted, rather than just a simple file include system. It mostly seems to work. Thanks for the help. Stanley <br> --- On Sun 03/28, A. Klingenstein < kli...@ad... > wrote: From: A. Klingenstein [mailto: kli...@ad...] To: sfb...@hu..., dev...@li... I've asked this before, without recieving an answer. How do you modify the project makefiles? I'd like to add some additional targets, in particular Doxygen and texi2html. I know I can use an externally generated makefile, but what I'd really like to do is create a project template so I can automatically use and process my files for documentation. Also, can a project template consist of multiple files? For example, the NeHe OpenGL tutorial uses multiple functions in creating the basic OpenGL application. I'd like to split the functions up into more files. Can it still be used as a base template? Thanks in advance! _______________________________________________ |

I sent in a bug report on this one a few days ago. However; the problem is trying to enter text into a drop down box. If you click on the yes/no area, a drop down button will appear. You can click on it, then select the option you want. What should happen is that the letter you type should determine which value is presented, not atempt to write into read only memory. --- On Sat 03/27, Site Resources < sit...@fl... > wrote: From: Site Resources [mailto: sit...@fl...] To: dev...@li... Last times I tried to check for updates I get the couldn't connect to server. You have the same problem? Is that some kind of behaviour of the server?, a bug? It's only me? Thank you. P.D.- I changed my browser, I hope this message is in plain text, I thing so, but I can't find any option about it. |
