It may not be as easy, unless there is a RPM or equivalent package, to build codeblocks. Codeblocks requires WxGTK, which requires GTK, which requires pango,GLib,ATX,etc. Most of these come with mainstream distros, the trick is getting the appropriate version of GTK+ to match the pango, etc versions on your system. How do I check for the validity of an HWND variable in my application( if another application closed that window). The window is a child-window to the application and not the main one. _________________________________________________________________ Designer Mail isn't just fun to send, it's fun to receive. I can't seem to capture the LBN_DBLCLK notification for my list box... the following code is how I am doing it... case WM_COMMAND: { switch( LOWORD(wParam) ) { case LIST: { switch( HIWORD( wParam ) ) { case LBN_DBLCLK: { int location = SendMessage( textList, LB_GETCURSEL, 0, 0 ); char buffer[256]; SendMessage( textList, LB_GETTEXT, (WPARAM)location, (LPARAM)buffer ); MessageBox( hwnd, buffer, "MSG", MB_OK ); break; } } break; } } } _________________________________________________________________ Don't just Search. Hello, I am trying to use freetype2 to build PNGwriter, I have downloaded the pre-compiled libraries of freetype2 and installed them in c:\freetype. Dev-Cpp is installed in C:\Dev-Cpp. I can build pngwriter without freetype support (adding -DNO_FREETYPE to the compiler options ) but when I try to build it with freetype support I get this error: /freetype/include/ft2build.h C:\temp\pngwriter-0.5.3\src\Cfreetype/config/ftheader.h: No such file or directory. Does anybody knows what to do??? Thanks a lot, Antonio. |

Since you're new to Linux, just use Anjuta or kdevelop. Your distro of choice should have the available precompiled and readily installable. |

Hi everybody I'm trying to move to a Linux system and of course I need to install my favorite IDE. I search on the net and I found the "dev-src_Jul_30_23h03.tar". After reading the install doc I also download the "qt-x11-2.3.0.tar". Is this suffisant??? I didn't uderstand what that means: " First you need to make sure you have a installed all the C/C++ development packages when installing your distribution (those packages contains gcc, g++, make, standard include files and libraries)." If there's any packages I didn't found them :( I'm so used to the traditional .exe that I can't make head :( So can someone help me, advise me or just give me links. Thanx in advance. _________________________________________________________________ MSN Hotmail : créez votre adresse e-mail gratuite & à vie ! http://www.msn.fr/newhotmail/Default.asp?Ath=f |

There seems to be way out using namespaces; you would have to move from using C to C++. Using both libraries shouldn't be a problem if you can successfully resolve the scope. But I really haven't tried out Dislin that much. I mainly use C/C++ to complete some of the assignments in my engineering under-graduate course ;-) -- Rohit V.
