Wellington is a market town and civil parish in Shropshire, England. It is in the borough of Telford and Wrekin and forms part of the new town of Telford. It is 3.5 miles (5.5 km) northwest of central Telford and 12 miles (19 km) east of Shrewsbury. The 2011 census revealed that the town has a population of 25,554 people.

It became part of the new town of Telford in 1968.

The town's population makes it the third largest town in Shropshire, behind Telford and Shrewsbury.

The Wrekin hill is 3.5 miles southwest of the town.

The town has a railway station on the Wolverhampton–Shrewsbury line. Passengers can get direct trains to Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton, Birmingham, London and parts of Wales.

The New Bucks Head, the home stadium of football club A.F.C. Telford United, is located in Wellington.
