James R. "Jim" Bede (17 April 1933 – 9 July 2015)[1] was an American aircraft designer. He designed well over a dozen aircraft since the 1960s, but a string of business failures have kept most of these designs out of widespread use.

Bede died of an aneurysm in Cleveland, Ohio, aged 82.[1][2][3]
