The Finnish War (Swedish: Finska kriget, Finnish: Suomen sota, Russian: Русско-шведская война 1808—1809) was a war fought in 1808-1809 between Russia and Sweden. King Gustav IV Adolf of Sweden lost, and Sweden lost its Eastern third. The lost land became the autonomous Grand Duchy of Finland.
