Bourbonnella

Bourbonnella is an extinct genus of freshwater ray-finned fish from the Mississippian.
It has the following species:
- †Bourbonnella guilloti Heyler, 1967 (type species)
- †Bourbonnella fourrieri Poplin, 2001
- †Bourbonnella hirsuta Štamberg, 2007
- †Bourbonnella jocelynae Mickle, 2011
- †Bourbonnella sottyi
Description
[change | change source]This fish had a deep, fusiform body. It had an area of small scales supporting the dorsal fin. The smallest was Bourbonnella guilloti, which was about 15 cm, while the largest was Bourbonnella fourrieri of 30 cm.
