Bob Love

Robert Earl "Butterbean" Love (December 8, 1942 – November 18, 2024) was an American professional basketball player. In 1968, he joined the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He retired in 1976. Love then worked as the Bulls' Director of Community Affairs.[1]
Love was born in Bastrop, Louisiana. He was raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He studied at Southern University.
Love also played for the Cincinnati Royals from 1966 to 1968. In 1968, he played for the Milwaukee Bucks. From 1976 to 1977, Love played for the New York Nets. In 1977, he then played for the Seattle SuperSonics.
Love died on November 18, 2024 from cancer in Chicago, Illinois at the age of 82.[2]
