The 2001–02 season was the [[List of Arsenal F.C. seasons|104th season]] of competition football played by [[Arsenal F.C.|Arsenal]]. In the season beforehand, Arsenal had been the [[FA Cup]] [[2001 FA Cup Final|finalists]]. Arsenal won the [[Premier League]] by seven points. They didn't lose away from home. Arsenal scored in every league game. They lost only three times in the season. All of the times when they lost was when they were playing at home. Arsenal won against [[Chelsea F.C.|Chelsea]] 2–0 to win the [[2002 FA Cup Final]]. 

In the [[transfer window]], Arsenal sold a few players. This included [[Nelson Vivas]] to [[Inter Milan|Internazionale]] and [[Sylvinho]] to [[Celta de Vigo|Celta Vigo]]. Goalkeeper [[John Lukic]] was let go from the club after he decided he wanted to retire. Arsenal bought midfielder [[Giovanni van Bronckhorst]] and striker [[Francis Jeffers]]. They bought the players from [[Rangers F.C.|Rangers]] and [[Everton F.C.|Everton]].

Manager [[Arsène Wenger]] was made [[Premier League Manager of the Season|Manager of the Year]].<ref>{{cite web|url=https://www.premierleague.com/managers/1137/Ars%C3%A8ne-Wenger/overview|publisher=Premier League|title=Arsene Wenger}}</ref> [[Freddie Ljungberg]] was made [[Premier League Player of the Season|Player of the Year]].<ref>{{cite news|url=http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/a/arsenal/1985879.stm|publisher=BBC News|title=Wenger wins double honours|access-date=20 August 2021}}</ref> [[Thierry Henry]] scored the most goals in the Premier League. He was awarded the [[Premier League Golden Boot]] because of this.
