The First Churchills
The First Churchills je bila britanska mini-serija historijske tematike koja je 1969. godine snimljena u produkciji BBC-a. Radnja se bavila životom Johna Churchilla, prvog vojvode od Marlborougha i njegove supruge Sarah. Naslovne su uloge tumačili John Neville i Susan Hampshire. Scenarist i producent je bio Donald Wilson, a režiju potpisao David Giles.
Serija je pratila živote Johna i Sarah Churchill od njihovog prvog susreta 1673. godine do nedugo prije vojvodine smrti 1722. godine. U tom periodu su se zbili burni i sudbonosni događaji engleske i britanske historije koje serija opisuje. Usprskos relativno niskog budžeta, zbog koga su se izbjegavale masovne ili scene bitaka, odnosno bila snimana gotovo isključivo u studiju, The First Churchills je ostavila snažan dojam zbog velike brige za kostime i druge detalje kojima je dočarana engleska prošlost. Temelj za seriju su bile knjige dalekog potomka Churchillovih - Winstona Churchilla.
Serija je prikazana na programu PBS-a u SAD zahvaljujući čemu je Susan Hampshire dobila svoj drugi uzastopni Emmy.
