Leigh Douglass Brackett (7. decembar 1915 – 18. mart 1978) je bila američka književnica, najpoznatija po djelima science fiction žanra, a pogotovo onima iz podžanra svemirske opere. Također se bavila i pisanjem filmskih scenarija, a što je uključilo i SF-film The Empire Strikes Back za koga je napisala scenario neposredno prije svoje smrti.

1946. se udala za SF-pisca Edmonda Hamiltona sa kojim je često surađivala, i sa kojim je ostala do njegove smrti 1977. godine.
