In October, Karo Healthcare came together for our annual Move for a Smile event to support Operation Smile. Throughout the month Karo'ites and partners participated in 45 minutes of physical activity. For each activity, Karo contributes €250, symbolising the duration and cost of one cleft surgery. Every step, stretch, and sprint was about more than just movement; it was about transforming lives. A huge thank you to each and every one of you who took part. Today marks the one-year anniversary of the closing of our acquisition of Lamisil®, a leading brand for the treatment of Athlete’s Foot, from Haleon. Lamisil is Karo’s largest brand acquisition, with net sales of approximately EUR 60 million and a global footprint, with sales in 50+ markets.   Recently, Karo achieved another milestone by signing a licensing agreement with Zenyaku Kogyo, marking a new beginning for Lamisil in Japan and further strengthening Karo’s brand influence in Asia. This has been an incredible journey, and our success was made possible by the outstanding collaboration among the teams at Zenyaku Kogyo, Haleon Japan, Karo Healthcare, and Aurora Partners. Today, we’re delighted to announce that Egil Mølsted Madsen will be joining Karo as our new CFO starting on 3 October. Egil’s extensive expertise and strong background in the healthcare sector, combined with valuable insights from working in private equity, will be instrumental as Karo continues its growth journey. Egil will be stepping into the role as Jon Johnsson transitions after five years of impactful contribution. Introducing Karo's Supplier Decarbonisation Program 🌍 Tackling the climate crisis requires collective effort. At Karo, we recognise that our sustainability impact is deeply linked with our suppliers, given our business model of an outsourced supply and distribution chain. This week we launched our Supplier Decarbonisation Program, with over 50 suppliers attending the digital launch event. The program is built on three key pillars: 1. Supplier Commitment and Target Setting 2. Data Collection and Annual Reporting 3. Decarbonisation Implementation As part of this initiative, we are asking our suppliers to set Science-Based Targets aligned with the 1.5°C pathway. The initiative aims to connect, share knowledge, and set ambitious targets together, making both Karo and our suppliers more competitive and better prepared for current and future requirements from consumers, customers and regulations. Together, we can create a resilient and sustainable supply chain that meets the demands of today and tomorrow.
