Regensburg (German pronunciation: [ˈʁeːɡənsbʊɐ̯k]; historically an aa Ratisbon, frae Celtic Ratisbona, Laitin: Castra Regina) (fr. Ratisbonne) is a ceety in Bavarie, Germany, locatit at the confluence o the Danube an Regen rivers, at ane o the northrenmaist pynts o the Danube. Tae the east lies the Bavarie Forest. Regensburg is the caipital o the Bavarie admeenistrative region Upper Palatinate. The muckle medieval centre o the ceety is a UNESCO Warld Heritage Steid.
