Aiberfeldy[2] (Inglis: Aberfeldy Scots Gaelic: Obar Pheallaidh) is a burgh in Perth an Kinross, Scotland, on the River Tay.[3] It is a wee mercat toun locatit in Hielan Perthshire an haed a population o 1,950 in 2016.[1] It is weel-kent fur bein mentioned in the poem The Birks of Aberfeldy bi Robert Burns.
The toun's name comes frae the Pechts Aber, meanin the mooth o a river, an the Scots Gaelic phellaidh, fur the Christian missionar Saunt Paldoc.[4]
