Prof. Zhiqiang Wu works as a researcher and doctoral supervisor at the Genome Analysis Laboratory of the Ministry of Agriculture, Agricultural Genomics Institute at Shenzhen. He received his Ph.D. from the Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2012. He then conducted postdoctoral research at Umeå University, Sweden, Texas Tech University, Iowa State University, and Colorado State University. His main research takes plant organelles as a research object, using omics big data to explore the variation and mutation mechanism of organelle genomes, as well as the molecular mechanism of nucleocytoplasmic interaction, and exploring the transformation of organelle-based photosynthesis systems to improve crop yields.
