Prof. Solveig Tosi currently is a Full Professor in Botany at the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, University of Pavia (in 2021). She graduated in Biological Sciences from “La Sapienza” University in 1987. From 1991 to 1998, she worked as a VII-level technician for the Botanical Garden of Viterbo, University of Tuscia. From 1998–2014, she was a University researcher at the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, University of Pavia. In 2014, she was promoted to Associate Professor in Botany. She authored more than 70+ scientific papers, 50+ in ISI Journals in the following research areas: Biodiversity and fungal taxonomy; Soil Fungi; Eco-physiology of fungi; Mycoremediation and fungal degradation; Fungal agents for biological control; and Sensitivity of fungi to compounds of natural and synthetic origin.
