Jon Paul Rodríguez holds a degree in Biology from the Universidad Central de Venezuela and a doctorate in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Princeton University. He is an Ecology Professor at the Instituto Venezolano de Investigaciones Científicas, Co-founder and President of Provita, and Chair of the IUCN Species Survival Commission.
