Juliana has post-doctorate from University of São Paulo (ICB / USP), degree in Biological Sciences from Federal University of Alfenas (2002-2006), master's (2007/2009) and doctorate (2009/2012) in Sciences from Coordination of Diseases Control, Department of State Health (CCD / SP), at Adolfo Lutz Institute, with sandwich period at London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine - University of London. She is currently Professor of Parasitology at Faculty of Medicine of Jundiaí. She has experience in the area of Parasitology, in the research of new drugs for Leishmaniasis and Toxoplasmosis. She operates on the following topics: Research and investigation of the antiparasitic mechanism of action of drugs, combination therapies, selective targeting using liposomes and evaluation of synthetic and natural products against Leishmania sp., Trypanosoma cruzi and Toxoplasma gondii.
