Education: Yerevan State Medical University. Ph.D. thesis " To the question of the functional state of the adrenal cortex of rats treated with polonium-210"; Doctoral thesis "Mechanisms of hemodynamic changes in Arterial hypertension (experimental study) ". He has the title of professor. Scientific specialization: At the pharmaceutical company "Bofur-Ibsen" (France), Visiting Professor at the Institute Weizmann (Israel), Visiting Professor at the University of Minnesota (USA). At present, he is a Chief Researcher at the National Medical Research Center of Children's Health of the Russian Ministry of Health. Research Areas: Research on molecular mechanisms of brain neuron damage in ischemia/hypoxia and neurodegenerative diseases, mechanisms of new neuroprotectors actions. For the last 20 years, research was supported with 2 international grants, 15 grants from the RFBR, and 2 grants from the RSF and RFHR. Publications: more than 400 scientific papers, including 275 journal articles, co-author of 3 monographs, and 3 patents. Under his leadership, 28 scientists have been trained, including 7 doctors and 21 candidates in sciences. In 2013, he was elected Honorary Professor of the Federal State Autonomous Institution National Medical Research Center for Children's Health of the Russian Ministry of Health.
