The NBA continues to develop exceptional young talent that takes steps to shape the league’s future. The Houston Rockets (12-38) don’t have the ideal team record as we approach the All-Star break, but they showcase some of the association’s top young talents.
Scouts and critics often voice their opinions on the league’s future, but the message is received differently when current stars offer their thoughts. Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant is heading to another All-Star Game, and he has never shied away from sharing insight.
In a recent guest appearance on #NBAHooperVision to reveal his favorite young players. Durant showed appreciation for an emerging Rockets star that should be on everyone’s radar.
“I was going to give some love to Alperen Şengün,” Durant said. “I like Sengun. He was dunking on a couple of people, and I didn’t know he could get up like that. He’s nice. I like him.”

The Rockets’ second-year center has shown plenty of promise this season, averaging 15.5 points and 8.9 rebounds per game. Durant also mentioned his appreciation for Şengün’s teammate, Jalen Green.
“I like a couple of guys on the Rockets,” Durant said. “I think Jalen Green is showing me something, too. He’s definitely nice. Yeah, but so many dudes I enjoy. I appreciate their game, and I can see them getting better in the future.”
The Rockets don’t appear playoff-bound at the moment, but they are turning the heads of the best players in the league.
