The Local Welfare Assistance Scheme (LWAS) helps those experiencing financial hardship. The scheme is not intended as emergency aid.

Before you apply we will ask you a series of questions to check if you are eligible for the scheme. This eligibility checker will take about 5 minutes to complete.

If you are eligible you will be asked to continue on to apply online. The online application will take about 20 minutes to complete.

If you are completing this on behalf of someone else, please check their eligibility for the scheme by answering the following questions as them.
