é uma onda que se propaga pelo ar e

moléculas. A velocidade do Som altera-

termos culturais, artísticos e científicos, que
UNESCO instituiu, em 2000, a Semana do
Som, um evento internacional de celebraçõe
que já se realiza há 21 anos.
Por oposição ao SOM, a ausência de sons

audíveis -o silêncio - é por vezes muito

útil para evitar o ruído na comunicação entre os
seres humanos e pode ser tão importante em
termos de comunicação como o som.

O ouvido humano é um
órgão do corpo desenvolvido
e muito sensível. A função do
ouvido é transmitir e traduzir
sons para o cérebro através
das seguintes partes:

A audição nos permite perceber o que ocorre à nossa volta,
interagir com outras pessoas ou simplesmente apreciar o mundo
