From #Italy comes a new development for Greenvolt Group, with an agreement to sell a 153 MWp solar #photovoltaic portfolio for €18.7 million. The portfolio includes 19 projects spread across various Italian regions, with phased delivery between 2024 and 2025, as they reach the Ready to Build (RtB) stage. "We are experts in developing projects until they reach RtB, where our advantage compared to other players is greater, as demonstrated by the interest shown in these assets in Italy", says João Manso Neto, CEO of Greenvolt Group. This agreement, through Greenvolt Power, with Nuveen Infrastructure aligns with and reinforces Greenvolt’s commitment to its asset rotation strategy.

Engaging with #localcommunities and maintaining close relationships is extremely important to Greenvolt Group, as demonstrated by the recent support provided to the Mortágua Volunteer Firefighters by our team at the local Biomass Power Plant. To address a gap in their equipment, we stepped in and donated a device that allows for the safe immobilization of electric vehicles in case of accidents, enhancing their operational capabilities. During our visit, we were shown the fire department's facilities and vehicles and explained their modus operandi. The Firefighters also mentioned that a new power station is being built, where the risks and dangers are currently different. This spirit of mutual support and #collaboration is a value we deeply cherish, especially when it comes to assisting firefighters in their noble mission.

To accelerate the energy transition in Indonesia, the Greenvolt Group, in partnership with Spectrum-R, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Himpunan Kawasan Industri Indonesia (HKI) to assist Indonesia's industry in taking concrete steps in the energy transition process. Through Emerging Solar Indonesia (ESI), we're bringing renewable energy straight to businesses, advocating the use of solar power. One of the main initiatives will be the introduction of the Energy Sharing concept, an innovative energy-sharing solution already successfully implemented by the Greenvolt Group in Portugal. In this way, companies will be able to share among themselves the energy obtained from solar irradiation, with benefits both environmentally and financially, resulting from the reduction of their energy bills. The Greenvolt Group participated in the Biomass & Green Deal conference, an event focused on the evolution and trends in the #biomass market, new applications of this renewable resource, and technological advancements in the sector. Carlos Coelho, Executive Director at Greenvolt Group, took part in a roundtable discussion on "The Future of Traditional Biomass Applications", where he shared his insights and Greenvolt's experience in this field. "The use of residual biomass enables us to transform by-products into #renewableenergy, reducing reliance on fossil fuels, contributing to carbon neutrality in energy production, and lowering the risk of forest fires, while also promoting the circular economy", said Carlos Coelho. The Greenvolt Group's energy communities have expanded into #Alentejo, southern Portugal, through a partnership with the Nabeiro Group-Delta Cafés, leading to the creation of the "Galeria Alentejo #EnergyCommunity", a project developed by Greenvolt Comunidades and inaugurated yesterday. Solar panels with a capacity to generate more than 130 MWh annually have been installed at the “Galerias”, and since this commercial space uses only a small portion of the energy, the surplus – representing 75% of the total production – will be shared with the surrounding shops. "Environmental sustainability has always been a priority for the Nabeiro Group-Delta Cafés, which is why we are committed to renewable energies while also maintaining our connection to the community, as reflected in this pioneering project in Alentejo," said Rui Miguel Nabeiro, CEO of Nabeiro-Delta Cafés, with João Manso Neto, CEO of Greenvolt Group, adding that this region "is an obvious choice for generating energy from the inexhaustible source that is the sun". This project exemplifies the effectiveness and efficiency of energy-sharing models. A commercial space, a group of retailers, and a collective commitment to #decarbonization demonstrate that, within a community, nothing is lost, everything is shared 🌞.

The theme “Paving the Way to the Pact of the Future” set the stage for an international conference organized by SDSN Portugal and the Sustainable Development Solutions Network - with participation and support from Greenvolt Group - which culminated in the launch of the Sustainable Development Report 2024. The event focused on the urgency and opportunities of #SustainableDevelopment, highlighted by the "Valuing What Counts: Beyond GDP" panel, where João Manso Neto, CEO of Greenvolt Group, emphasized the crucial role of clean energy and the need for strategic structuring in the renewables sector to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (#SDG) and meet the ambitious targets set by European and Global authorities.
