Today marked the first activity of our new initiative, Plug into Knowledge | The First Step to the Energy Transition, coinciding with the official inauguration of the solar park, attended by Ricardo Cruz, Mayor of Tábua, reinforcing our strong ties to the local community. We had the pleasure of welcoming local high school students for a guided tour, whose enthusiasm and thoughtful questions highlighted the power of #knowledge to spark curiosity and inspire the future leaders of the #energytransition. This is just the beginning of our journey to empower individuals through energy literacy. 🔜 Where are we headed next? Stay tuned for more updates on our roadshow.

Over the past two days, we brought together some of Greenvolt Group's top management leaders at Nova School of Business and Economics, in Lisbon, to discuss the critical role of #leadership in building a strong, aligned, and collaborative organization across all areas and business segments. In a #globalcompany like ours, the diversity of perspectives and experiences is one of our greatest assets, and moments like these represent an opportunity to reinforce the bonds that drive our collective vision and strengthen a cohesive #teamspirit. As we move forward, this alignment empowers us to continue executing our business plan and achieving the ambitious goals we have set for the Group’s future.

The Greenvolt Group concluded the first half of 2024 with revenues of €188.0 million, representing a 42% year-on-year increase. EBITDA reached €26.5 million, with the overall net profit attributable to Greenvolt of €-19.0 million. These results reflect the Group's ongoing investment phase, with nearly 800 MW of assets currently under construction and distributed generation operations being launched across six countries, aligned with the expectations and planned trajectory. “These results, which include a non-recurring negative impact, will certainly present substantial growth by the end of the year, anticipating an improvement in the comparison between 2024 and 2023”, says João Manso Neto, CEO of the Greenvolt Group. In the first half of 2024, the #UtilityScale pipeline grew by 904 MW compared to the end of 2023, reaching a total of 9.3 GW, with 3.6 GW at the Ready-to-Build stage. In the #SustainableBiomass segment, the Group agreed to acquire a power plant in the UK from Kent Renewable Energy Ltd. Additionally, the #DistributedGeneration backlog (signed contracts) grew by 88%, reaching 311.4 MW, with installations increasing by 52% compared to 1H23, totaling 42.5 MWp.

Yesterday, we celebrated World #EnergyStorage Day, recognizing the essential role that storage technology plays in accelerating the energy transition and unlocking the full potential of renewable sources. By storing energy for when it's most needed, we take decisive steps to make renewables more efficient, aligning demand with supply while promoting grid stability, reducing CO2 emissions, and contributing to a more resilient power system. 🌿🔋 At Greenvolt Group, we are fully committed to advancing storage technology at every scale and for every need – from #UtilityScale, where we’re already one of the largest global BESS developers; to #DistributedGeneration, where our solar storage solution is helping businesses enhance the efficiency and profitability of their green energy projects.

Always on the move 🌍, the Greenvolt Group recently participated in the European Biomass to Power Conference in Helsinki, #Finland. Joao Andrade, our Technical Director, was a keynote speaker, sharing insights into streamlining technological advancements and enhancing #efficiency in #biomass power plants. His presentation highlighted the implementation of a storage system using lithium-ion batteries at our Mondego Bioelectric Biomass Plant – an innovative solution that optimizes real-time power injection, significantly boosting the plant’s performance. Find out more ➡️ https://lnkd.in/dStGKKAV It was a great opportunity to share our experience in sustainable biomass and contribute to the ongoing efforts to drive innovation and shape future trends in the sector.

From #Italy comes a new development for Greenvolt Group, with an agreement to sell a 153 MWp solar #photovoltaic portfolio for €18.7 million. The portfolio includes 19 projects spread across various Italian regions, with phased delivery between 2024 and 2025, as they reach the Ready to Build (RtB) stage. "We are experts in developing projects until they reach RtB, where our advantage compared to other players is greater, as demonstrated by the interest shown in these assets in Italy", says João Manso Neto, CEO of Greenvolt Group. This agreement, through Greenvolt Power, with Nuveen Infrastructure aligns with and reinforces Greenvolt’s commitment to its asset rotation strategy.
