Shortly before, the father of a family had been at the police station to give a statement. However, after receiving a cell phone message, Böttcher quickly left. Was the man driven to his death by this message? Shortly before the desperate act, an unknown sender apparently threatened Böttcher with harming his young child. While the police station is searching for the sender of the threatening email, Hubert and Staller have another problem. While trying to prevent Böttcher from jumping, Staller was hit by a car and will now be in a wheelchair for several days. Staller, who escaped with two bruised knees, is unstoppable and wants to continue with the investigation, but he literally rubs people the wrong way. An annoyed Girwidz promptly places him on temporary leave. Since he can no longer reach his apartment in his wheelchair, Staller is happy that Barbara Hansen offers him a temporary stay. The journalist has returned to Wolfratshausen because her father has died. Sonja Wirth and Hubert learn that the suicide victim is the owner of an investment firm that has gone bankrupt and defrauded numerous investors of their money. Staller, on leave and confined to a wheelchair, believes he is witnessing a crime in Barbara Hansen's neighborhood. He sees a man in the early morning hours dumping a bag in the water at the dock on his property, which appears to be moving. Staller quickly determines that his neighbor, Hanselmann, has dumped a person in the lake. After an initial confrontation with the suspect, he also believes he knows that the victim is Hanselmann's partner, Birthe Wollhaupt. Doggedly and against all odds, he tries to prove his suspicions. But not even his colleague Hubert believes him. But then it turns out that the deceased Böttcher had not run the insolvent company alone: his partner at the time was Staller's new neighbor, Hanselmann. Written by ARD Das Erste See less
