After ...See moreVillervalle, Lenalisa and their grandmother are drifting away on the sea on Monsieur Moule's porch, which has been turned into a raft. They were swept away from the coral island Takone by a gigantic surge, caused by a cyclone. After several hours in the burning sun, without drinking water, they land at a desert island. Villervalle is sure that it is a hitherto undiscovered island, and declares that it from now on belongs to the Kingdom of Sweden. He names it Botman's Land after its explorer. His parents, Ernst and Märta, are investigating the diet of the natives at the island Reao, when they receive the news that the rest of the family has disappeared on a raft. Together with Tetohu and Kaoko they go with an outrigger canoe to search for them. Finally they find the desert island, where they discover that Villervalle, Lenalisa and the grandmother have build a comfortable home, just as Robinson Crusoe. Back on Raroia it's time for the Botman family to leave for Sweden. Villervalle tries to convince his father to stay at Raroia one more year, but in vain.
