The main idea of the movie is to show the story of two woman who live in one of the smallest Central American countries and how society has an impact on them. Julia and Maria are two women who were born and raised in the same country in Central America; however, they have completely different lifestyles. Julia comes from one of the wealthiest families in the country and has always had everything she wanted. Maria, on the other hand, is a single mother who works as a maid and lives in constant distress and concern. This film is an eye opening experience to the reality of one of the poorest and most violent countries in the world. Contrast shows how some people living in third world countries can have a luxurious life while others, right next to them, do not even have the possibility to buy food or medicine.
