During the worst year of anti-trans legislation and discourse in our nation's history, transgender athlete Cal Dobbs fulfils his childhood dream of running 3,000 miles across America. His journey takes him through some of the most hostile anti-trans states as he fights for inclusion of trans people in sports and access to gender affirming healthcare. Along the way he empowers local lgbtq communities through 5k fun runs, while fundraising nearly $100,000 for grassroots groups directly serving trans people most impacted. We hear from trans athletes, activists, coaches, doctors, and researchers debunking myths about fairness in sports and reminding us how sports shape a society. Through Cal's harrowing and vulnerable journey we feel empowered to join the collective struggle for freedom and bodily autonomy and embrace the joy of being our authentic selves. See less
