It is now 1959 and the audience is dwindling. "Soon there will be more people on stage than in the audience", warns the artistic director. But not to worry. She's found the miracle that's needed to keep the theater alive, Alfred N. Russell, the most produced playwright on the college circuit. His latest play will be translated into Yiddish and presented one night in Yiddish and one night in English. The two owners' response? "Over our dead bodies". And so the comedy and the drama unfolds.
