Close friends growing up in Poland, both fought against the Nazis as Jewish resistance fighters (partisans) and lost their families during the Holocaust. Their re-encounter unfolds in 'The Reunion', a poignant documentary about 55 surviving Jewish partisans gathering in New York in 2011 for events honoring them. Narrated by Liev Schreiber, the film features historical footage and photographs of Jewish partisans, candid conversations about the responsibility of being among the last Holocaust survivors, and celebratory moments, as former resistance fighters and their children and grandchildren reunite. 'The Reunion' is about the bonds that connect people across decades and generations. Written by
