Seeking answers about her family, the war, and her cultural identity, Dao Chang finds herself unable to find the answers she needs in the United States. She must travel halfway around the world to the country her family was once forced to flee, but her voyage into her past greets her with more questions than answers. My Way Home was produced by docUWM, a documentary media center at the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee. The film was a collaboration between directors Joe Sacco and Dao Chang, editor Jessamy Meyer, and producer Meg Strobel, with guidance and support from executive producer Brad Lichtenstein, supervising producer Jenny Plevin and the Peck School of the Arts Film Department.
