He has to present himself at the same barracks in Revinge where he made his military service in his youth. When he arrives he meets the officer which they called captain Fi. But he also meets an old fellow-soldier, called Småland. Both Möller and Småland are now middle-aged men, but back at the old camp they start recalling their boyish pranks again.
