Quickly losing height and speed, pilot Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger realized he couldn't make it back to LaGuardia or reach New Jersey's Teterboro Airport. Gliding the plane, Sullenberger narrowly missed the George Washington Bridge and, at more than 150 miles per hour, splashed to a halt in the Hudson River. All 155 were rescued. Written by
