Dogs of all sizes, shapes and breeds yelp, bark and dance on their leashes; perspiring and unhappy-looking men struggle to make headway or surmount high obstacles, whilst open umbrellas wave wildly in the air, or curve and gambol merrily along the ground. However, all things must come to an end, and in due course the race is finished. In the last picture we see Max Linder bestowing a crown of paper laurels on the winner.
