Madge is ambitious and when Reginald Van Dorn crosses her path she loses her heart and head. Portuguese Joe, who runs the chop house, becomes jealous of the boyish millionaire. Reginald and Madge resolve to be married. The wedding date is set, but through the interference of Van Dorn's parents and Portuguese Joe, all that Madge receives is a farewell note from her lover. She resolves to be revenged. Three years later, unhappily married, Reginald Van Dorn meets with an accident and Madge O'Mara, now a nurse, attends him. She holds in her hand the power of his life or his death. As she is about to let the man die in revenge for her wrongs, the professional honor as a nurse and her old love for him returns and she saves him.
